This is a preliminary timeline – it could change and will have more detail added in the coming months. But I feel that the Structure is fairly fixed now.
At this time we are thinking that (like the 40th anniversary) it will be a 4 day event.
DAY 1 – Thursday the 18th July 2019
This will be an orientation day. At a venue TBD (Possibly Woden Hellenic Club) – pick up your badges, memorabillia purchased, sign up for special events perhaps. Then in the evening a meet and greet drinks and canapés hosted for Veterans by Nicole Lawder MLA at the ACT Legislative Assembly (Max 120 places)
Day 2 – Friday the 19th July
A day at various Canberra venues – Possible Plaque/memorial unveiling, National Museum and Questacon activities and probably movies etc.
Day 3 – Sat the 20th July
Coach or private transport to Honeysuckle and Tidbinbilla for various activities. See the changes at Honeysuckle and see the HSK antenna at Tidbinbilla up close and personal.
Day 4 – Sun 21st July
The big one – a lunch with many entertainments at the Canberra Southern Cross Club Woden Corinna Ballroom with the first step video syncronised to the time of the first “One small step…” – and MUCH MUCH more.
